BBC thanks Cedarville patrons with entertainment, fun and free fish and chips
PLYMOUTH, Mass., April 13, 2005 The British Beer Company (BBC), the
local destination for English pub-style fun, relaxation and refreshment, today
announced that it will be celebrating St. Georges Day, an English holiday
that commemorates Englands patron saint, famed dragon slayer and maiden
rescuer. To best celebrate this day of British culture and history, the BBC
is throwing a party for patrons and neighbors at its Cedarville restaurant
and pub, the highlight of which will be a massive fish fry that could be the
largest ever executed on Cape Cod. The British Beer Company Cedarville restaurant
and pub is located at 2294 State Road (off exit 2 on Route 3) in Cedarville.
The event runs from 1:00 to 5:00 on Saturday, April 23, rain or shine under
a tent.
The fish fry is sponsored by IcelandicÒ Brand Seafood, current record
holder for cooking up the largest serving of fish and chips in the world,
and Fullers beer, whose London Pride beer is a key ingredient in the
British Beers Companys new fish and chips batter. Icelandic Seafood
will have its specially built world record capacity fryer on hand to cook
up the days plates, which will be served FREE to anyone in attendance.
The British Beer Company is planning a full day of entertainment at the pub
including an appearance by the Colum Cille Pipes and Drums of Cape Cod Bay,
kids events such as a moonwalk castle, a swinging visit
from International Man of Mystery, Austin Powers, and re-enactors in costume
as St. George and the English King. In addition to free fish and chips served
in traditional English paper cones, free ice cream will be handed out there
and will be tee-shirt giveaways. Events run from 1:00 to 5:00 rain or shine
a tent will provide shelter in case of rain.

The British Beer Company is happy to take this chance to say thank
you to our customers and neighbors for a great first year in Cedarville, our
newest pub and restaurant. Because we seek to create the same atmosphere of
the locals common throughout the U.K., we thought that bringing the legend
of St. George and the Dragon to Cedarville would be a fun way to celebrate
this restaurants birthday, said Gary Simon, British Beer Company
partner. We are grateful to our good friends at Icelandic Brand Seafood
and Fullers for joining us in this celebration, and we look forward
to joining our neighbors and customers over hot cones of Fullers London
Pride fish and chips and a cold pint.
